TEMPE, Ariz. –SEA LIFE Arizona’s nearly $1 million-dollar new exhibit takes children and
families on an interactive journey through one of the state’s most important waterways,
and it’s set to open to the public in just over a month.
Slated to open at the Tempe attraction Friday, May 19, the Colorado River Adventure
is a twisting and turning interactive tributary that follows the Southwestern landmark from
its roots in the Rocky Mountains all the way down to the Sea of Cortez. The large-scale water
play table offers an abundance of hands-on features, and guests can pump, twist and turn water
while learning about conservation and how land- locked cities, such as Phoenix, affect the world’s rivers
and oceans.
“It’s unlike anything we’ve ever had at the aquarium, and it presents a great opportunity for kids
and families to get up close and personal with a body of water that’s close to home,” said Joanna
Hobday, SEA LIFE Arizona’s General Manager. “It’s a great way for kids to learn more about their local
waterways, how they serve the surrounding community and the types of creatures that call them home.
Construction on the nearly $1 million project began in mid-February. SEA LIFE Arizona is located at
5000 Arizona Mills Circle in the Tempe, AZ. For more on SEA LIFE Arizona, call 1-877- 526-3960,
